A woman collects antique snuff boxes. She bought two and then sold them for $600 each. On one she made 20% and on the other she lost 20%. Did she make or lose money on the whole deal? and how much?

She lost money on the deal and lost $50 total.
On the first sale she made 20% which means she paid $500 and sold for $600…a gain of $100.
On the second sale she lost 20% which means she paid $750 and sold for $600.. a loss of $150.
Net…she lost $50.
