Great places to live in Alexandria, VA?
I need some recommendations on security, pleasant areas to live in Alexandria or nearby city in northern Virginia. My husband and I like walking, bicycling, and go to the theater. We do not drink much, do not noisy crowds. I am a big fan of the store and antique shops, or at least "window". We do not want to pay more than $ 2,400, obviously less is better. We want to live near the subway. I think the old for me, but I can reduce my research too. All suggestions are welcome, as planned this way from California!
Del Ray is the best. Just outside Old Town – is a mixture of bungalows, apartments, houses, duplexes and townhouses. Mt Vernon Avenue is the "Avenue" with its restaurants, shops, etc (Farmers Market, meats, cheese, wine world, ice cream … and cocoa to a shop …) You can walk from the Old Town and 2 metro stops – King Street and Braddock. It's like Mayberry in 1950, but with all the urban amenities …. Check it out!
